First, we have the CNC machine. Our machine is really unique in that it can cut metal sheets, which are much bigger than the final product, and form them into the shape we need for our racks. A CNC machine is a computer-controlled machine. It can therefore perform extremely precise cuts, allowing us to create pieces that fit together every time. It works so all we have to do is follow along just like a really smart cutting robot! Then, the welding machine comes. An After cutting the pieces of metal, we need to assemble them to make the racks. This is where welding machine comes into play. It applies very high heat to melt the edges of the metal and sandwiching them together. This process forms a powerful bond which makes the racks strong and safe. Our racks are not this strong as they are without the welding machine!
Last, but not least, is the powder coating system. This is a very important machine, because it goes and puts a special coating on the racks. This not only makes the racks great and shiny however protects them from rust and the damage. The racks pass along a conveyor that keeps moving it, and the coating is sprayed on. Then they enter an oven where the coating is baked on. This baking process ensures that the coating adheres and remains long-lasting. First, there’s John. He operates a CNC machine, and has worked here for more than 10 years. John loves to work with computers and asks how exact the machine can be. “Every cut is so critical, and he takes pride in it because he knows that it means creating the best racks of ribs you can possibly make.”
Next is Sarah. She is a certified welder and oversees assembling the metal pieces. Sarah has a steady hand and an eye for every detail. She checks to ensure each weld is perfect, which is critical to the strength of the Longwin Racks. Sarah's job makes her happy because she likes to see the way the pieces fit together to create an end product.
Once the racks have been welded, they are inspected for quality control. This verification process is crucial to ensure that the Longwin heavy duty rack maintained our quality standards. Once the racks are up to snuff, they are sent to Tom to be coated. After they are coated, the racks then head into the oven to ensure the coating sticks well and cures properly.
The final step of the entire process is packaging and shipping. Our factory has a team which packs Longwin Storage racks with care.
